The melt pressure sensor is mainly used to measure and control the pressure of molten material under high temperature conditions. Melt pressure sensors are widely used in pressure measurement and control of high-temperature fluid media in chemical fiber plastics, spinning, polyester, rubber and plastic machinery and other equipment.

  working principle

The working principle of the melt pressure sensor is that the pressure of the medium directly acts on the diaphragm of the sensor, causing the diaphragm to produce a slight displacement proportional to the pressure of the medium, causing the resistance of the sensor to change, and detecting this change with an electronic circuit, and The conversion outputs a standard signal corresponding to this pressure.

  Applications

High temperature melt pressure sensor is used for pressure measurement and control of high temperature fluid medium in chemical fiber spinning, polyester, rubber and plastic machinery and other equipment.

  Product choice

(1) What kind of pressure is measured. Generally, the maximum pressure range of the high-temperature melt pressure sensor you need should reach 1.5 times the maximum pressure value of your system. All high-temperature melt pressure sensors are designed to withstand the maximum pressure in 200 million cycles without degrading performance. When choosing a sensor, you need to find a compromise between system performance and sensor life.

(2) The measured medium. The key factor to consider when selecting a high-temperature melt pressure sensor is the measured medium. Will there be viscous liquid or slurry on the pressure head? Is the soluble or corrosive medium or clean and dry air in contact with the sensor? This question determines whether an impact die is required and what materials are used to contact the medium.

(3) What kind of precision needs to be achieved. Accuracy is a term commonly used by manufacturers to describe sensor output errors. High-temperature melt pressure sensors with higher accuracy will cost more. So does your system really need such high accuracy? A system composed of high-precision sensors and low-resolution instruments is actually an inefficient solution.
